NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, use the line that is on the reel. It is always junk line meant to grab attention. Any reelmaker worth their salt knows that line choice is up to the angler.Soooo, if Mr. Lance wants to complain about his reel not having line, let him ask his shaman why the world is sooo cruel. And get out of his way if you meet him near the waters edge. You may get a hook where you don't want it.  Reel is cheaply made junk, rod is simply OK, This review is from: Daiwa Fishing Combo D-Shock Dsc-B Spin Reel With Fiberglass Rod (Sports) My 9 year old daughter managed to snap the handle off after only 5 trips. The drag is horrible, it's clunky feeling and not at all a 'value' reel.The rod is fine, and above average for this introductory level, which is why it got the two stars that it did. I put a Pflueger Trion reel on it and it's working much better for her that way. (are they putting me on?) save your time and money and go to walmart and buy your cheap reel. who knows? you may end up on face book under that "people of walmart" fashion page if you wear some way-too-tight hip hugger shorts with a thong and a crop top... |
