I Bought this for my six year old nephew who loves to fish. It's probably the third pole I have bought for him in the last two years, being young he is rough on fishing poles, he's had this one over six months now and has caught hundreds of fish on it. Before he was using the push button spincast reels and as he got older he wanted to use the same kind of reel his father uses. This is a great setup for a child and I couldn't be happier with the product, like all Shakespeare products they are well made and durable, he has no problem casting it and his accuracy is good.
