5.0 out of 5 stars Great Pliers, June 29, 2011

I had purchased a pair of these a few years back, then was unable to find another pair until I ran across these on Amazon. I actually bought them as a gift, since I love my pair so much. These are an absolute must-have for catfishermen. I've been cleaning catfish my entire life and these are by far the best pair I've ever owned.

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor quality, June 11, 2012
This review is from: South Bend Fishing Heavy Duty Skinning Pliers (Sports)
The pliers are soft metal and bend easily. Made in China. Expected MUCH more from company of this name. Rubber grips basically fell off and crumbled on 1st use which made it very hard to use with slick handles. Buy better quality.

I use these to peel the membrane off pork ribs before I smoke them. It's much easier and less messy than using a knife and fingers (The only other way I know.) I'm sure they're great for fish too, but I haven't used them for that yet.
